15 DAYS WITH BIRDS, WILDLIFE AND SCENERY WITH AFRICAN SAFARIS TRAVEL

Day 1: Entebbe to Kampala
On arrival at Entebbe Airport, your guide from Crystal Travel Service will warmly welcome you and transfer you to a hotel in Kampala in preparation for tomorrow’s trip.

Day 2: Mabira, Jinja, Source of the Nile and Bujagari tour
After breakfast and a briefing from Crystal Travel staff, off you drive to Jinja through the Mabira Forest where several forest birds and some primates can easily be seen. Drive through the tea estates, sugar plantations, coffee shambas, bananas and mixed farming are well practiced enroute to Jinja town. Arrive at the source of the Nile in the afternoon. Have lunch and spend the afternoon relaxing at the spectacular Bujagali Falls and return to Kampala in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in kampala.

Day 3: Birding in Budongo Forest
After breakfast depart for Budongo Forest Reserve which lies at the edge of the Albertine Rift Valley to the south of Murchison Falls National Park. Have an afternoon game drive and birding. Dinner and overnight at Masindi Hotel.

Day 4: Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, drive to Murchison Falls National Park and have a game drive in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Paraa safari Lodge or The Paraa Rest Camp.

Day 5: Nile Cruise and Birding Safari in Murchison Falls
After breakfast, take a boat cruise upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of Murchison falls. Have game viewing and bird watching enroute. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge or Paraa Rest Camp.

Day 6: Game Drives and Murchison Falls Wildlife Safaris
After breakfast, have game drive to the top of Murchison Falls stopping just a few meters from the ‘Devils Cauldron’ The falls are spectacular and thunderous with a beautiful rainbow displayed on sunny days. Drive Kibale National Park and have dinner and over night at Rwenzori View Guesthouse or Ndali Lodge.

Day 7: Birdwatchin trip and Chimpanzee tracking Safari
After Breakfast Chimpanzee tracking and bird watching at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, then return to Rwenzori View Guesthouse or Ndali Lodge in the evening for overnight.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari
After breakfast, After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the afternoon for lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge after which you go for an early evening game drive. Over night at Mweya Safari Lodge or the Institute of Ecology.

Day 9: Game Drive on Queen Elizabeth Tour
After breakfast, bird watching while on a game drive both in the morning and in the afternoon returning to the lodge for lunch and over night at Mweya Safari Lodge or the Institute of Ecology.

Day 10: Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel and Birding
After a relaxed breakfast, prepare for a bout cruise along the Kazinga channel as you enjoy viewing the tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the river’s edge. Dinner and over night at Mweya Safari Lodge or the Institute of Ecology.

Day 11: Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari
After breakfast, have a game drive while leaving the park and continue through the lush hills birding enroute to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park best known for Gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or the Uganda Wildlife Authority Community Bandas.

Day 12: Primate and Gorilla Trekking safari Bwindi
Mix your love of birds with gorilla tracking on this day! After an early breakfast Gorilla tracking at 8.00 a.m. We recommend that you wear good walking shoes and carry rain jacket and flask of water. Tracking can be tough and we trust you are in reasonably fit condition. You will carry a picnic lunch into the forest with you. You will be thrilled to have seen these rare primates (no guarantee) and the return journey will be easier. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or the Uganda Wildlife Authority Park Bandas. Day 13: Lake Mburo Wildlife Safaris and Tours
After breakfast, depart for Lake Mburo National Park having a game drive while entering the Park. Lake Mburo National Park has markedly different fauna to other Parks and Reserves, and its the best place in the country to see the gigantic Eland Antelope, as well as Zebra, Topi, Impala, and several Acacia -associated birds. Having an evening game drive, dinner and over night at either Mantana Luxurious Tented Camp or Agip Motel.

Day 14: Game Drive Expedition
After breakfast have a game drive while leaving the Park for Kampala, have a stop to look at the Royal Drum makers, stand on the Equator. Dinner and over night at the hotel in kampala.

Day 15: Visit Mabamba Wetlands and Travel to Entebbe
After breakfast you will set off to Mabamba Wetland the nearest site for the Shoebill Stork, Lesser Jacana, Blue Swallow, Black-Shouldered Nightjar, Afep Pigeon, Blue Breasted Bee-Eater, Papyrus Gonolek and the White Winged Warbler. Spend the whole day birding in this wetland and the surrounding areas, have a picnic lunch there returning to Entebbe in the evening to later catch your flight home depending on departure times.
